wskrsnwings - The nest area never disappoints and this morning, two Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks visited and perched atop the cam 2 tree. We get a good look at these birds and hear their distinct vocals. You can learn more about them with this link: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Black-bellied_Whistling-Duck/overview I did not see Harriet or M15 during this morning's visit. More visits than not, over the summer, I do not see them. Mated pairs only use their nest for laying eggs and caring for their offspring. The adults keep an eye on their nest and remain in the territory (3 mile radius +/-) but are hard to spot as they are usually perched in the shaded protection of nearby trees even we do not know about. Thank you SWFEC, hosted by Dick Pritchett Real Estate, for providing & maintaining suitable trees & environment for this Bald Eagle Family. www.SWFLEagleCam.com Thank you to Dick Pritchett Real Estate (SWFEC), Church of the Nazarene, Eagle Landing & several friends for allowing me to film on their premises.
